Summary
SpeedYourFin GST Assistant does not collect, store or transmit any user data. It runs entirely within your browser and communicates only with the Government of India GST Portal (gst.gov.in).
What the extension does
The extension helps a user who is already signed in to the GST Portal download their own GST return files for several tax periods at once. It performs the same requests the GST Portal's own interface performs, using the session you are already signed in to.
Data we collect
None. We operate no server and no account system for this extension. We do not use analytics, tracking, advertising or error-reporting services. No information about you, your business, your GSTIN or your returns is transmitted to SpeedYourFin or to any third party.
Data the extension handles on your device
To do its job the extension reads GST return information from the GST Portal and writes the resulting files to your computer using Chrome's download function. This data passes through your browser only. It is never sent elsewhere and is not retained by the extension.
The extension stores two items locally in your browser: the list of file generations it is currently waiting on, so a long generation survives the popup being closed; and a single setting recording whether GSTR-2B downloading has been confirmed on your installation. Neither contains return data or personal information, and both remain on your device.
Credentials
The extension never asks for, receives, stores or transmits your GST Portal username, password or OTP. It relies solely on the session already established in your browser.
Permissions
The permissions requested (tabs, downloads, notifications, alarms, storage and access to gst.gov.in) are used only to deliver the functionality described above. Their individual justifications are published on the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
Third parties
We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties. We do not use data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose, nor for creditworthiness or lending.
